The Top 3 Lies Prosperity Experts Tell You

I find it laughable how many so-called prosperity experts make their money in fields besides spirituality.  Then they decide they are spiritual experts.  If you are adept at creating money it does not mean you are a spiritual master.  It means you are adept at creating money.   The greatest expansion occurs when we have little in the external and our relationship with the internal world becomes pronounced.

This journey on the planet is one to expand our soul's purpose, not our bank account. If that happens, that's great. The lie that says you have to have a million dollars in the bank limits who you are.  It reduces your power to choose and grow spiritually.   Your prosperity is inherent, it is you, and always will be.  If you know and own that one fact, your needs will always be met.  It won't matter if you have $1 in the bank or $10,000,000 in the bank.  You will have the most valuable piece of information that any person in a human body can have.  Your life will feel great and it will work for you.  You are living in trust and awareness of who you are in the universe.  You acknowledge that you are a spirit in a body.  In so doing you validate that you are limitless and you hold all the power to define your purpose and value.

The spirit is exponentially more powerful than the body.  The spirit is timeless and exists beyond the confines of what we call the human experience.   Money and stuff is great fun.  It is meaningless without self awareness.  It is just like every other external stimulation that tries to define you, slap a label on you, and tell you who you are.  You are far greater than a million dollars.   A million dollars cannot even compare to the magnificence of your spirit.  What do you think about that?  Can you believe you are more valuable than a million dollars?  What’s your number?   How do you measure your value?  How do you know when you are successful?  You know by searching inside of yourself to understand who you are, what you stand for, and what brings value to your experience.

I had a woman in my healing circle this week who recently had surgery.   She spoke about the pain and fear she experienced after surgery, and her subsequent feelings of vulnerability.   Then she spoke about the incredible feelings of love and support she received from people who visited her in the hospital, and how powerful that was for her.   She cried as she talked about how critical it was to her and the difference it made in her experience.   This situation illustrates clearly what really matters when our life hangs in the balance.  It begs us to consider where we put our value.   This woman is not a millionaire but she is clearly rich.  She is a fun, beautiful, loving and giving person.  Because of that people love her and showed up her in her time of need.  She didn’t even expect it.  This woman doesn’t need a millionaire dollars to have a life that feeds her.   A million dollars would have done nothing for her in this scenario.  The difference was made by the love of others.  Some spiritual experts say it is not how many people you love in your life that determines your success, but how many people love you.   By that measure this woman’s life is a success.

Don't you find it interesting that after a prosperity expert gives you a lengthy presentation they always want to sell you their version of prosperity for a hefty price?  Choose wisely when you decide who to follow, whose program to sign up with, and who you abdicate your power and authority to.  One little tidbit most prosperity experts forget to tell you, likely because they don't really know, is that everyone has to find their own way.   There is no way around that.

The only prosperity program you'll ever need is one that reminds you of your inherent value.    As a spiritual teacher I truly want you to succeed in life.   I don't need to empty your bank account to give you what I know for sure. I know who I am. I trust life to give to me and support me.  I don’t have to bilk my clients out of their money to have my life work for me.  My goal is to get the information to you.  I trust that life will support me.

What I know for sure is that your value is inherent.  It is that acknowledgement that begins your relationship with prosperity.  Your answers are always on the inside.  No exceptions.  If you want more prosperity in your life, define it.   What is it?  Most of the time people do not have a clear vision of what prosperity is, how to define it, or what their internal measure is of prosperity.   They function on autopilot to the programmed response:  money and things.  They haven’t a clue as to what rocks their world and makes them unique in consciousness.

I’ve been talking about prosperity with people for years.   I truly see an epidemic of monumental proportions.  Perhaps it’s a pandemic.  The epidemic is that people do not know who they are.   They do not know how to create what they need.  They are scurrying about trying to figure out the right answer.  They consistently respond to something on the external to measure what their next step should be.   

The primary source of the epidemic is lack of clarity.  People have forgotten how to hear their truth.   If asked they use vague terms like I want the “finer things in life” or ‘less overwhelm” or “more money.”  Those statements don’t say much.  They don’t say much to you or to anyone else about what really matters in your heart…to your essence.   Those statements actually say “something outside of me will fill me up.”  That’s the biggest lie on the planet.   Nothing outside of you will fill you up.  You have to find the courage to own what rocks your internal world.    Really rocks your world.  Not kinda sorta, but what really rocks your world!  You have to separate yourself from the comparison game that is sold in our culture…that you have to look a certain way, have a certain job, have “x” amount of money in the bank and the list goes on.  

The intangible precedes the tangible.  It is when you define your truth internally, own it and run with it that prosperity begins to flow.  Prosperity should be defined as that thing or circumstance that causes you to expand as a person.   If you do not define what rocks your world, you will be forever chasing the external answer to your emptiness and your need.  Do not reduce yourself to a pile of green paper and coins as your master.  There’s nothing wrong with green paper and coins.  You are so much more than that.  Your ability to contribute and receive on this planet is about much more than green paper and coins. 

We all currently exist together on this little planet called Earth.   There is no sign of life for as far as science can see.    It is just us.  In the middle of vast limitless space.  Yet, millions of people on our planet are suffering every day, and we go about our days minimizing that reality.  People are murdered in cities across our country and world daily.  We are not outraged.  We turn away.   We have become accustomed to that as normal.   We have set a new status quo.   Robberies, burglaries, rapes, child abuse, and many incredible atrocities are going on in our world daily as our status quo.   Meanwhile the stock market dominates the headlines.  Financial stability or instability dominates our thoughts.   What’s wrong with this picture?  It’s called disconnect.  It’s called turn your back on what really matters in life…each other..and seek to accumulate stuff to anesthetize ourselves to what is happening in the world around us.    Financial instability is the product of internal instability.    Everything in the physical is tied to the spiritual.   A life created unconsciously breads chaos in the external.   A Life created as if we are all separate, rather than a connected collective consciousness breeds elitists, class systems and insensitivity to the human condition.

Who needs to worry about 2012 apocalyptic predictions? We’re already experiencing hell on earth. We just don’t call it that.  It’s now the status quo.   It’s only a matter of time before all the horrors that many already experience will be visited on all of us.  There is no place to hide.  This is a small planet. 

How many people do you know in your own life you have been abused in some way?  How many people do you know who have been touched by losses created by war, or the greed of Wall Street?   We are already being touched in many ways by hell on Earth.  We normalize it and say “I don’t have any power.”   In truth, you have all the power.  The lie on the planet is that if you don’t have money you don’t have power.   Reject that belief.  Perspective is trained.    Do not abdicate your power and authority to a consciousness that limits who you are.  

This is a small planet.   Resources are limited.  In short order it won’t matter how much money you have in the bank.  You will become a target for those desperate to survive.   If we continue to create life unconsciously at the pace we do now, our children and their children will have no future on this planet.  A million dollars in the bank will not offer any security it will make you a target.   

I urge you to consider what prosperity really is.  Develop your heart, not just your bank account.   We are all connected on this planet.  Everything each one does affects the other.   We must accept and honor the responsibility we have to each other.  We do that first by honoring who we are as individuals.  What our truth is, what we stand for, and what matters to our hearts.  This is the path to freedom and prosperity.
